Veterans create Premier Partnerships

Two US sports marketing industry veterans, Alan Rothenberg (pictured) and Randy Bernstein, have announced the formation of a new full-service sports and entertainment marketing and consulting firm, Premier Partnerships.

The Los Angeles-based company will provide high-level naming rights and sponsorship sales representation for sports and entertainment properties, events and facilities. In addition, the firm will concentrate on corporate strategic consulting, both domestically and internationally.
Rothenberg has more than 30 years of executive-level sports experience and is a renowned expert in the field of sports law.
The lawyer, who will serve as the chairman of the new company, was previously chairman of the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup; chairman & CEO of the 1994 World Cup Organizing Committee; president of the US Soccer Federation; and founder of Major League Soccer.
For his part, Bernstein has spent the last three and a half years as vice president of Yahoo! Inc.'s FIFA World Cup Partnership. In addition to his tenure with Yahoo!, he has served as an executive in sales, marketing and management with Major League Soccer, the 1994 World Cup Organizing Committee, the Major Indoor Soccer League and the National Basketball Association.
Premier Partnerships' initial client list includes corporate consulting for Yahoo!, HOK Sports, the Rose Bowl, Major League Soccer, an NFL franchise and other Fortune 500 companies.
Premier is also handling sales representation for Soccer United Marketing and the Hunt Sports Group, including the naming rights and all commercial development for the new $65million stadium and 17-field soccer complex in the Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas.
In addition, the company is serving as a strategic consultant for America's Cup Media, LLC, the organizer for the "The Challenge Series," featuring yachts that have competed in the America's Cup.
