Speaking just prior to yesterday's Monaco Grand Prix, Ecclestone said he wanted to see the fastest ten drivers in qualifying drawn by lottery for the grid.
But Mosley says no alterations will be made to qualifying for the rest of the season at least.
Said Mosley: "There's no way it's going to change this season.
"Looking further ahead, you can never say never but at the moment there doesn't seem to be enough evidence that we need a change, nor is there a clear proposal which is obviously better than what we've got now."
The move was introduced at the start of this season in a bid to improve TV figures for qualifying.
This season has seen Formula One's health slowly begin to recover with broadcast figures on the rise.
