The five-year deal makes MBC the 'official cable carrier' for all SWAC games.
Beginning this fall, MBC Network will air 25 SWAC games for the 2003-2004 football and basketball seasons. MBC will air a total 100 black college sports games (football and basketball) this season.
Said Willie E. Gary, chairman and CEO of MBC Network: "Except for a few select games and championships, black college sports has not had a consistent presence on broadcast nor cable television.
"That is why this partnership is a natural fit, MBC's commitment to provide quality programming to urban families will be enhanced with this agreement."
