The report, prepared by the IOC Evaluation Commission, follows the body's visit to the three candidate cities to host the XXI Olympic Winter Games in 2010 - Vancouver in Canada, Salzburg in Austria, and PyeongChang in South Korea.
The commission, chaired by Gerhard Heiberg, spent four days in each cndidate cty to conduct on-site analyses and assess their ability to stage the Olympic Winter Games before submitting the report to the IOC.Amongst other issues, the report highlighted the level of national support for Pyeongchang, the depth of administrative knowledge in winter sports held by Salzburg and praised the fundamentally sound nature of Vancouver's proposed budget.
Each bid was evaluated against a set of 11 technical assessment criteria - government support and public opinion, general infrastructure, sports venues, Olympic village, environmental conditions and impact, accommodation, transport, security, experience from past sports events, finance and general concept.
The evaluation commission will make a final report to the 115th IOC session in Prague on 2 July following the presentations of the three candidate cities and preceding the vote for the election of the host city of the 2010 Olympics.
