The contract adds to the firm's sports clients, which already includes properties such as the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, and UK broadcaster Channel 4's horse racing coverage, and Sky's soccer programming.
The deal comes just a month after ACS was hit by tragedy when its CEO, Matthew Allwork, died in a helicopter accident in Dubai.
Said marketing manager Matt Coyde: "Matthew would have been absolutely delighted to secure this contract.
"ACS has provided facilities for the World Athletics since the early 1990s and he would be pleased that our excellent relationship is continuing."
The use of technology in sports broadcasting is just one of the topics to be discussed at SportAccord, the leading industry conference taking place in Madrid between May 12-16.
