Italy to host MLB games?

Officials from Major League Baseball have visiting various sports venues in Italy with a view to playing regular season games in the country next year.

The MLB representatives have been in talks with executives from a variety of different venues to discuss the possibility of hosting baseball games as the league looks to build its profile outside of the US.
Top of the list for MLB would appear to be the Olympic Stadium in Rome, home to the Italian captial's two soccer clubs. The 80,000-seater venue is one of the main stadia in the country with the capability to host a baseball game.
