The Knights franchise are forced to leave their existing home at the London Arena on July 15 when the stadium closes for business.
However, the lengthy search to find a new ice rink in the capital to host the team's games have been fruitless and the franchise has finally admitted defeat.
In a statement, the London Knights did state that the club would 'relaunch for the opening of the new Dome venue in Greenwich'. However no date has yet been set for completion of the venue and the opening is unlikely to occur before 2006.
The loss of the London Knights franchise is the latest in a string of problems affecting the sport in the UK after a number of teams went under and the league itself was restructured.
