All change again at Octagon

Tim Moufarrige has quit as one of Octagon's top executives as the sports marketing agency undergoes another management reorganisation.

Rumours had been rife within the industry for months that Moufarrige was set to leave Octagon - with the agency today confirming his departure while at the same time heralding the formation of a new management executive committee.

Rick Dudley, president and CEO of Octagon, says the new management set-up 'will provide leadership and governance for the global sports marketing powerhouse'.

The move is the latest in a string of major executive reshuffles which have taken place within Octagon over the past 24 months.

Dudley has appointed Phil de Picciotto, Karl Bistany, Curt Curtis, Michael Bucks and Mark Irvine to the committee.

Phil de Picciotto will continue in his role as president of the firm’s athlete and personality group and Karl Bistany will remain president of Octagon CSI, its television division.

In addition to his role on the executive committee, Michael Bucks has been appointed to chief operating officer of marketing/Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Bucks has held several positions at Octagon including executive vice president, corporate development and head of business affairs for Octagon CSI.

Prior to Octagon, Bucks was a director at Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance. He replaces Moufarrige, who had been Octagon's president, marketing, for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific for three years.
