Tagged in

The AFL is set to recruit a head-hunting firm to find it a new chief executive officer.

Following the AFL Commission meeting held today, high on the agenda was plans on how to replace Wayne Jackson who confirmed his intention to retire from the post earlier this month.
Said chairman of the AFL Commission Ron Evans: "We are very appreciative of Wayne's preparedness to continue with his existing responsibilities and to stay in his current position until a replacement is identified and settles in at the AFL.

"We believe that process will take at least several months.

"The AFL Commission has appointed a committee to deal with the detail of the replacement process, including the appointment of an executive search company."
The sub-committee comprises Ron Evans (chairman), Colin Carter and Bob Hammond. All commissioners will be involved in the final interviews of preferred candidates.
