The facilities available to Sky's subscriber base of some 350,000 customers have been produced in association with technology firm Holotype New Media and betting firm TAB NZ.
The foremost element of the new service is the betting service which allows subscribers to access their TAB accounts and place bets on all sporting events through their televisions.
The service, branded as SkyBet, has been soft launched for the last two weeks and has already garnered over NZ$40,000 worth of sales.
New Zealand pay-TV platform Sky Television has launched its new interactive TV sports offering including a betting service.
