It is, however, 'closely monitoring' the situation.
UEFA said it was paying close attention in view of forthcoming European competition matches - including UEFA Euro 2004 qualifying games - and regularly consults the relevant political, diplomatic and security authorities.
Said communications and public affairs director Mike Lee: "We always keep a very close eye on the international security situation and evaluate the possible risks to safety and security at our matches. At this stage we hope that all games will go ahead as scheduled, but we will not hesitate to intervene if circumstances require it.
"UEFA does consult with the relevant police and security forces, and we also discuss matters with representatives of the diplomatic community. Any decision is taken on a case-by-case basis and with the best possible information."
European soccer governing body UEFA says it has no plans 'at present' to cancel any scheduled matches, despite the start of war in the Middle East.
