Bell tolls for AFLPA

Peter Bell has being voted president of the Australian Football League's Players' Association.

The long-term AFLPA Executive member replaces Brendon Gale who stepped down from the role after three years.

Said Bell: “It’s always been a passion of mine, the welfare of the entire football industry. I look forward to hopefully leading a united front on behalf of all players, as a spokesperson and a member of the executive, in what are pretty important times for our association.”

Andrew Leoncelli was voted vice president of the association for the second year, while newcomers Glenn Archer and Simon Garlick join the executive of players. Michael Mansfield has retired from the executive.
