There had been suggestions the race – which takes place in September - could be ditched off the racing calendar after a row over the race between the FIA and the Western Australia Tourism Board.
However, following talks between the two parties it was agreed the race would go-ahead as planned.
The decision is expected to be confirmed on April 2 when the World Motor Council meets in Paris.
The future of the Australian leg of the World Rally Championship has been secured after a new deal was reached between motorsport governing body the FIA and the race organisers.
