Inter get bigger in Japan

Inter Milan's push into the Asian marketplace has been boosted after it signed a five-year deal with Japanese sports retailer JSV.

The agreement provides JSV with exclusive rights to create Inter stores, develop Inter merchandise, establish an official e-commerce site and create Inter fan clubs in Japan.

The first Inter store is already in the works and will open in April in Tokyo. JSV will work closely with Inter sponsor Nike to develop an integrated line of products for the Inter store.

Said JSV chairman and founder, Shinichi Nozaki: “JSV is honoured to add Inter to our group of partners, which includes the NBA, MLB and Manchester United. Inter is a key element in our strategy of developing official products and stores in Japan.”

Inter’s agreement with JSV comes hot on the heels of a strategic partnership deal with Dentsu signed to enhance the Inter brand in the potentially lucrative Asian market.
