But the internal dispute over the costs involved in flying out such a large number of athletes remains on-going.
The AOC intends to send more than 530 athletes to the Games, despite cut-backs of more than A$2.2m.
Speaking earlier this week, Australian Sports Commission chief executive Mark Peters said sending a full-team was 'a query'.
However, AOC president John Coates confirmed a full-team would be sent under the normal qualifying criteria.
Amid concerns over costs, the Australian Olympic Committee has confirmed it will send a full-strength team to the Athens Games next year.
