Televideo lands Superbikes deal

UK-based TV production company Televideo has clinched a deal with Octagon to provide coverage of British Superbikes worth £400,000 ($644,000/EUR584,200).

The contract will be to provide coverage of the British Superbikes series to be shown live on Sky Sports and BBC Grandstand, and is the biggest such deal the firm has landed.

Said Paul Scivill, managing director of Televideo: "This will be the fifth year we have worked on the British Superbikes series. During that time we have developed a massive amount of expertise in terms of our staffing and the equipment we have had to refine.

"Sky Sports is broadcasting the event this year following the collapse of ITV Digital. The rights holders and the programmes, Octagon CSI Ltd, decided to award Televideo the contract."

Televideo has recently forged a new relationship with Octagon CSI, and already provides the home and international coverage of all Manchester United home games not broadcast by Sky or ITV as well as working on home game coverage of a number of other leading English soccer teams.
