Richard Dorfman, previously senior vice-president of KirchSport, and the man who handled much of the World Cup rights sales during the past four years before leaving when it closed its UK office last year, will advise the FA along with Mark Oliver.
Oliver is managing director of media consultancy Oliver & Ohlbaum.
The FA will be hoping to put recent internal problems behind them – it is still without a CEO following Adam Crozier’s decision to leave the organisation following a clash with chairman of the all-powerful Premier League clubs – when it renegotiates its TV deal.
It currently has deals in place with the BBC and Sky for FA Cup games and England internationals.
Dorfman and Oliver will form a small team headed by the FA’s marketing and communication director Paul Barber.
The English Football Association has hired two high-profile industry consultants as it prepares for its upcoming TV rights negotiations.
