Tyson's assistant trainer Jeff Fenech quit last week and this weekend described the camp as in disarray - he also questioned if the fight would take place at all.
The bout is a key stepping stone for Tyson - a controversy-free win should see him set up a potentially hugely lucrative career finale against Lennox Lewis in June.
Said Fenech: "I don't believe next Saturday's fight will go ahead - I think we'll hear in the next couple of days that it will be cancelled."
With the fight being on pay-per-view around the world, the question remains - is this a genuine concern, or simply the latest move in a bid to boost the waning career of the once might heavyweight champion.
