Tiger's well-oiled caddie

Tiger Woods' appeal to commercial backers is rubbing off on his caddie Steve Williams after the latter signed a lucrative sponsorship deal with an oil brand.

Williams, who has caddied for the world's No. 1 golfer for the past four years, will wear the logo of Ashland Inc.'s Valvoline oil on his sleeve while following Woods around the world's golf courses.
While it's unusual for caddies to have their own endorsement agreements, the backing of New Zealand-born Williams is a perfect fit according to Valvoline spokesman Marty Kish.
He stated: "It makes good sense. Having Steve Williams linked closely to the world's No. 1 golfer and certainly one of the world's most recognized human beings is good for the Valvoline brand."
The financial terms of the contract weren't disclosed.
