Jordan, formerly with the teams BAR, Jordan and Benetton, replaces Rupert Manwaring who quit the post to join Lola.
Said Jordan: "Without a doubt, for the 2003 season, Paul Stoddart [team boss] has put together under his command the most solid team in the history of Minardi and there are perfect reasons to believe that this team is about to make an all important step which will enable it to fight with determination in order to achieve the goals of deployment.
"In order to progress however, it is fundamental for the team not only to reinforce the reciprocal support with the commercial and technical partners, but also to close links with new sponsors. My task is to make this possible and I am impatient to face this challenge.”
