Emirates flies in for FIFA

FIFA has signed its latest official partner for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Emirates Airline was confirmed as a major commercial partner in Dubai where FIFA vice-president Jack Warner and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, chairman of the group, officially signed the deal.

Emirates Airline has become an official partner of the tournament. It's product category includes aerial passenger - and cargo-related
products and services.

To date, 12 other companies have already signed up to be an offical partner - adidas, Avaya, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, Continental, Deutsche Telekom, Gillette, Hyundai, McDonald's, Philips, Toshiba and Yahoo!.

Emirates is an event partner for the FIFA World Youth Championship, which will be held in the UAE from 25 March to 16 April, as well as the
official club sponsor of English Premier League club Chelsea.

In addition, Emirates also supports horse races around the world, including the richest race in the world, the Dubai World Cup, and various other sporting events.
