Attheraces confirms profit targets

Ian Hogg, chief executive of the attheraces consortium which bought up the media rights to UK horse racing, has reiterated that the business is still on course to reach profit by "late 2004 or early 2005".

Whilst Hogg remained optimistic about the future, he refused to provide any figures on the number of account holders that attheraces has garnered or the level of betting turnover on the consortium's interactive betting channel since its launch in May of last year.
Hogg stated: "Interactive betting is an important component of the business but it is not our only revenue stream. We have four areas of revenue generation, the other being overseas rights, which will bring in £7million in 2003, distribution and production contracts and advertising."
