Sirius will carry live audio broadcasts of NBA regular season games, play-offs and NBA Finals, as part of its standard programming package.
Beginning in mid-February, basketball fans can hear up to 40 NBA games each week as part of Sirius' standard programming package consisting of 100 music and entertainment streams.
Said Gregg Winik, executive vice president of programming and executive producer, NBA Entertainment: "We want to be where our fans are and continue to make it easy for them to experience the excitement of our game."
The deal adds to Sirius' sports offering. It last year signed a deal with the US Formula One Radio Network to carry Grand Prix.
Although offering nationwide coverage, Sirius is not widely available, although it is hoped the advent of satellite radio being fitted as standard in motor vehicles should boost audience reach.
