NASCAR to drive PPV offering

US motor racing series NASCAR has told sportbusiness.com that the new season will provide the platform for a full launch of its pay-per-view service.

The 'NASCAR in Car on In Demand' interactive TV offering debuted in June last year and, after a period of testing and refinement, the series is ready to market the product extensively to its fans.
Despite the plug being pulled on a similar offering at Formula One after it failed to attract enough subscribers, NASCAR's vice president for broadcasting Jeffrey Pollack outlined to sportbusiness.com
