The new venues are the Seattle Seahawk Stadium in Seattle Washington, USA; Frank Clair Stadium in Ottawa, Canada; Luzhniki BSA Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia; Weingart Stadium, East Los Angeles College, US and St. John's University, Belson Stadium, New York, US.
These five new FIFA recommended fields join Fieldturf's existing surfaces at Boston University's Nickerson Field and Fanny Blankers Field in Almere, Netherlands.
The firm was the first to win the special status, and its Boston University surface remains the only venue to meet the criteria to hold a FIFA sanctioned match.
The FIFA Quality Concept for Artificial Turf was developed to standardise artificial turf quality, to ensure the safety of footballers and to encourage further developments in the industry.
