Tennis Channel adds more rights

The Tennis Channel, due to launch on US pay-TV platforms this year, has snapped up the rights to broadcast the European tournaments of the Tennis Masters Series.

Viewers of the new channel will be able to watch the Masters Series tournaments from Monte Carlo, Rome, Hamburg, Madrid and Paris.
The addition of the top-tier men's tennis events further boosts the channel's growing portfolio of programming which also includes the US Clay Court Championships, the Family Circle Cup, the JP Morgan Chase Open, the Siebel Open, the Kroger St. Jude Tournament and the Franklin Templeton Tennis Classic.
The live action will be supplemented by magazine and training shows as well as personality driven programming.
