According to Australian newspaper The Age, Murdoch's News Corp is open to offers for the team, named the least profitable in a recent survey of baseball teams by Forbes magazine.
However, no deal is imminent, according to official sources.
Derrick Hall, senior vice president at the Dodgers, said: "As we've said with previous rumours about our organisation being for sale, naturally they would do so, if the right buyer and the right price came along.
"However, there has been absolutely no indication that a sale is imminent."
News Corp, which bought the team in 1998, has not commented on the claims.
