Russian sports fans are to be boosted by the proposed launch of a new sports television channel.
According to the chief of the Russian government's Sports Committee Vyacheslav Fetisov, the state is planning to debut a sports channel within the next three months.
The government-funded entity is likely to be incorporated into the existing sports network 7-TV which has a potential viewership of over 60 million.
