Decker, also president of the Churchill Downs Simulcast Network, is leaving the company to 'pursue other career opportunities'.
Churchill Downs Inc owns and operates world-renowned horse racing venues throughout the US. Its racetracks in California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky host 112 graded-stakes events and many of North America's most prestigious races, including the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks, Hollywood Gold Cup and Arlington Million.
Thomas H. Meeker, president and chief executive officer of Churchill Downs Inc added Michael E. Miller, senior vice president of finance, will be promoted to chief financial officer and Karl Schmitt Jr, chief operating officer of CDSN, will be promoted to president of that company subsidiary. Miller and Schmitt will assume their new responsibilities at the time of Decker's departure on January 1.
Decker has served as CDI's executive vice president and chief financial officer since 1997.
