The Betfair punter can now open an account in one of 9 currencies, more than with any other betting exchange and a figure in line with the major international bookmakers.
The firm has added Swedish Kronor, Norwegian Kronor, Danish Kroner, Canadian Dollars and Australian Dollars to its existing Sterling, Euro, US Dollar and HK Dollar capabilities.
Betfair’s system allows multi-currency bets to be pooled and matched. The conversion rates are provided by a live FX feed.
Betfair.com, the online betting agency, has updated its systems to accept accounts in five new national currencies.
