As part of the new contract, Minardi has an option to use Cosworth engines for an unspecified number of years.
Minardi used Asiatech engines, an evolution of PSA Peugeot Citroen's former F1 program, last year.
Said team principal, Paul Stoddart: "The decision renews valued links the team has built up with Ford and Cosworth Racing over the years and will provide Minardi with what is clearly the most competitive power unit in its 19-year history in Formula One."
Ford supplied Minardi with engines when the team first joined the Formula One grid in 1985.
The Minardi Formula One team has signed a contract with Ford switching to the Cosworth engines next season.
