Sportev signs online partnership

UK-based broadband programming firm Sportev has partnered with the online sports section of the Daily Telegraph's website to provide an online rugby highlights service.

Sportev is providing sport.telegraph.co.uk with a rugby service accessible through the sport.telegraph.co.uk home page, and will be available from December 9.

The highlights are free to view for all registered users of telegraph.co.uk and will be marketed across both the newspaper’s editorial pages and the online site.

Extended highlights of a high-profile Zurich Premiership match will be shown each week and will be supported by player analysis and match statistics.
The rugby service is being supplied to telegraph.co.uk through Sportev’s unique operating system, Sportev OS, a proprietary software platform required for the operation of broadband sports services.

Sportev has recently acquired the broadband internet rights to all domestic rugby action from England Rugby Limited, a joint venture between the RFU and Premier Rugby, and earlier this year launched the UK’s first-ever broadband rugby channel, RFU.TV.
