Michael Jordan, the man who revolutionised sport athlete endorsements and the fortunes of the NBA, has confirmed this season will be his last as a player.
Despite ‘retiring’ in both 1993 and 1999, Jordan says this time the move will be permanent when he completes the current season for the Washington Wizards.
Said Jordan, who turns 40 this season: “I just want to fulfil my year and enjoy it. Then I’ll just move on."
