Octagon to host CART?

As CART confirms the end of the Rockingham 500 race in the UK, financially-troubled Octagon Motorsports could be set for a boost as speculation mounts its Brands Hatch circuit could be the new home for the race.

The US motorsport has confirmed yesterday's reports its Rockingham 500 race will be scrapped, with track officials claiming staging such an event would be 'financially unviable'.
With CART still claiming it wants a strong European presence, Octagon could build on its already strong relationship with the US motorsport - it handles its international TV rights - and provide the home for its UK race.
