UK Sport and Sport England, the two major UK government agencies in sport are to support the event, with SportBusiness Group the event’s media partners.
Both agencies have signed a two-year sponsorship deal with the awards, which take place at the Park Lane Hilton hotel in April.
Said Richard Callicott, UK Sport’s chief executive: "Sponsorship is a vital component of the sports industry. Lottery funding provided by UK Sport is making a huge difference, but sponsorship is also essential if sports and the athletes are to develop and reach their full potential.”
The ceremony recognises examples of 'excellence and best practice' within the sport business community.
