Previously branded as part of the Rally of Great Britain, the final leg of the WRC will become the Wales Rally GB following the end of the ten-year sponsorship agreement with Network Q.
Wales will retain its place in the WRC calendar with the new agreement creating a platform to develop a wide range of associated economic activities from education to research and development through a sponsorship deal with the Welsh Assembly Government and the Welsh Development Agency.
The sponsorship is conservatively estimated to have a direct economic effect on the country in the region of £50million ($79.1m/EUR78.5m).
The new branding arrangement also sees Wales begin a relationship with International Sportsworld Communicators, owners of the commercial rights to the WRC.

After securing a significant sponsorship deal, Wales has won its bid to secure the final stage of the World Rally Championship (WRC) for the next four years.
