The Board, which was formulated at the General Assembly of the governing body in October, agreed three main points at its inaugural meeting in Barcelona.
Firstly, the appointment of experienced US marketer Marshall Glickman as the marketing director for the Board. Glickman comes straight from the NBA where he held a number of positions including director of media sales.
The Board also agreed to appoint a Technical Commission to collaborate with referees and Euroleague teams on the game rules, their interpretation and proposals to modify them.
Lastly, the Board urged the Euroleague to require Admira Media to strictly fulfill the payment calendar that appears in the contract of the commercialisation of the league's rights.
The newly appointed Board of the Euroleague has held its first meeting, formulating a number of strategies for the governance of the European basketball league.
