Lazio's Libya link

Italian Serie A soccer club Lazio could be about to be owned by the Libyans according to local media reports.

The son of Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi has said Libyan interests are looking closely at buying the team which was put on the market last week by owners the Cirio Group.
Al-Saadi Gaddafi, already a member of the board on fellow Italian team Juventus, would not be able to personally buy into the club because of his Juventus links, but confirmed Libya was interested in the Rome-based team.
The Libyan Arab Foreign Investment Company bought a 7.5 percent share in Juventus.
Said a spokesman for Al-Saadi Gaddafi: "The Libyan authority is evaluating a bid to buy the majority share in Lazio."
Lazio chiefs have not commented on the claims.
