Sarbjit 'Sab' Singh and John S. Bruel, two advisors to the sports, media, and entertainment industries, have joined forces to form Avila Partners.
The new operation, with offices in New York and Los Angeles, specialises in strategy development, investment advice, and marketing consulting.
”John and I have worked extensively with companies in these industries,” said Sab, “from billion dollar media companies seeking to maximise the strategic impact of their marketing efforts to younger sports-related ventures trying to build a solid, defensible business model and simultaneously raise the investment capital to enact such a model.
“We are very excited about this new venture.
"The sports, media, and entertainment industries are among the most dynamic in the business world today. That dynamic element rises from a combination of emerging opportunities and the challenges that companies must overcome to take advantage of those opportunities.”
The new firm will focus on its clients’ key marketplace initiatives, strategy and marketing, while also providing assistance in the areas of both creative support and investor outreach, all backed by extensive research and analysis.
Regarding the tough business market, Singh and Bruel concur: “The business market is always tough. For any individual or company to think otherwise leaves them vulnerable to others who are always striving to improve. We feel the time is now for companies to reevaluate their strategic goals to take advantage of the many opportunities hidden in such a market. Now is the time to be aggressive rather than defensive.”
Sarbjit 'Sab' Singh was most recently founder and director of the sports business practice at strategic and investment advistory firm Growthink.
John S Bruel was recently director of the Media Market Group at the Wheelhouse Corporation in New York.
