According to Crash.net, the motorsport news website, Audi is close to securing a deal to takeover Arrows, which struggled to field a team in the second half of the recent season amid major financial wrangles.
The last time the team raced was in the German Grand Prix at the end of July.
Arrows has made no comment on the claims.
