Hungary GP 'not at risk'

Hungary has denied its place on the Formula One calendar is at risk as motorsport chiefs look to make way for China and Bahrain.

The Hungaroring circuit had been suggested as a possible casualty of the calendar changes, but its place has been defended by Peter Patan, a spokesman for the track, and quoted in the local media.

"We have just recently signed a new agreement and we believe the Hungarian races are safe.

"Since Hungaroring was established we have constantly heard that the Hungarian venue would be short-lived."
