Swiss representative Gilbert Felli will take the role of executive director, working directly underneath Heiberg, while the remainder of the Commission comprises of representatives from the IOC, various National Olympic Committees, and industry experts.
The team will analyse the three bids to be put forward from Vancouver (Canada), Salzburg (Austria) and Pyeongchang (Korea), due to be submitted by January 2003, before visting each city individually.
Pyeongchang will be the Commission's first port of call between February 14-17 before heading on to Vancouver (March 2-5) and finally Salzburg (Austria).
The Swiss city of Bern had originally signalled its intention to bid for the 2010 Winter Games but withdrew its candidature on September 27.
After examining the Commission's findings, the final decision on the host city for 2010 will be made by the full IOC membership during the IOC Session to be held in Prague on July 2, 2003.
