The owner of the NFL's Carolina Panthers is expected to make a full recovery after successfully undergoing quadruple heart bypass surgery.
Jerry Richardson, 66, had been hospitalised since the start of the month receiving treatment for an intestinal infection, during which doctors detected an irregular heart rhythm, prompting the major surgery.
He is expected to be back to health within six weeks.
