FA calls for Premier talks

The English Football Association has called for the English Premier League to sit down for talks to end the row over the distribution of revenue derived from commercial deals.

The relationship between the two governing bodies has become increasingly strained in recent weeks after the Premier League's continued discontent over the FA's commercial strategy came to a head.
The Premier League is concerned that its clubs are not getting their fair share of money derived from sponsorship and TV rights deals for the FA Cup and England internationals.
The FA is a non-profit making organisation and, after costs, splits its commercial revenue between all the professional and amateur leagues.
In response to the Premier League's demand for increased revenue, the FA has now called for the Premier League to sit down to discuss the matter as opposed to fighting a war of words through the media.
