Graham Anderson, recruited through the Sports Recruitment Company, formerly regional marketing director of sports brand Nike for London, will take on the role of managing director while Tim Howland joins S2 as chairman after seven years at World Sports Group latterly as chief executive for Europe.
Howland, who has also been CEO of the Evian Ladies European Golf Tour, comments: "S2 has consistently demonstrated the value of a specialist sports agency particularly in public relations. I'm proud to be involved with such a well-respected and capable team, and I'm very excited about its future growth."
Having been responsible for coordinating the PR behind Wales' successful bid to host the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor (pictured), S2 has capitalised on the interest created in the company by securing a host of new and exciting contracts during the summer.
Among these clients include Golf England, the new official national programme for amateur golf, and Heynes Team Motor Sport, the winner of the 2001 European Touring Car Championship. TaylorMade Golf, Maxfli and adidas are among other more long-standing clients.
Founded in 1999, S2 has relocated to new offices in Battersea, south London, as part of its expansion plans.
S2, the sports marketing and PR agency, has appointed new senior staff to take the business forward.
