Arrows pays creditor

Tagged in

According to reports this morning, cash-strapped Formula One team Arrows has paid off one of its creditors ahead of a winding-up petition due to go before the High Court today.

But with more creditors looking to receive money owed to them by Arrows, the future of the outfit is still uncertain.

The High Court petition is expected to be adjourned to give the team more time to find the neccessary funds to pay those involved. It is still unclear whether Arrows will be on the grid for this weekend's Grand Prix in Italy.

Cal Smith, a mining entrepreneur, is this week expected to buy the ailing Arrows team before it goes into receivership.
