According to the annual Cable Industry Economics report from Kagan World Media, ESPN is projected to generate an estimated U$2.8 billion in revenue this year - a figure more than double that of other cable networks.
This total revenue sum is a 17% rise on the previous year when the sports network earned U$2.4 billion and ESPN's revenue is expected to rise still further next year with the report estimating that revenue will total U$3.3 billion, up 14%.
The report however also issues a word of warning given ESPN' status as cable's top programming spender, investing over twice the amount of other networks.
