The new two-year contract, which begins in January 2003, will see The Television Corporation subsidiary company Sunset+Vine providing the 30-minute Gillette World Sport programme 52 weeks a year.
"This new agreement re-affirms the special and enduring relationship between the Gillette Company and Sunset+Vine stretching back more than 17 years," commented The Television Corporation CEO Jeff Foulser.
Gillette World Sport was the first sponsored programme of its kind in the world and the new deal takes it into its 20th series. The programme began in 1985 and is now distributed to more than 200 countries.
