Lou Newlands joins OC from APP Broadcast to take responsibility for Media Relations for the company's elite sailing team, including Ellen MacArthur's flagship campaign sponsored by Kingfisher plc and Nick Moloney's VendC)e Globe 2004 project. APP Broadcast, however, will continue to act as the TV Production and News Distribution company for MacArthur's Offshore Challenges Sailing Team.
In addition, Mike Gumm, formerly with World Sport Group, joins the Sponsor Relations and Management team and Charles Derbyshire has been appointed technology manager for OC Sailing Team Projects.
Derbyshire's role will be to maximise the use of onboard technology to relay news content to various broadcast distributors.
