JAWOC action in ticket chaos

Tagged in

The Japanese organisers of the World Cup (JAWOC) have been forced to set up an emergency department to deal with fans waiting for almost 150,000 tickets which have yet to arrive ahead of the finals starting on May 31.

Byrom Inc, the company responsible for producing the World Cup tickets and the official FIFA operating agent, has experienced data production problems that have led to delays in printing the tickets.
JAWOC, who originally promised fans that tickets would be delivered by mid-May, has admitted that they could be forced to hand out tickets to fans on the actual match days unless Byrom can speed up its operations.
Around 20,000 of the "missing" tickets are for first-round matches to be played between June 1-3.
